Djembe-L:
a moderated global mail list dedicated to the ongoing development and maintenance of a knowledge base regarding the musical culture of West Africa, including the diaspora. Emphasis is upon the countries of Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Côte d'Ivoire. This emphasis is to follow primarily the music of the djembe, as supported by chant, song, and dance. All are welcomed to join. Much information is discussed from how to play the djembe to how to build one.
